Looking for Signs of Spring

Hey There!

Dave from McElhoes Family Farm/Belmont here.

I am really excited. As you know, real food is seasonal - to everything there is a season... As we have been hauling water, falling down hills and blowing on frozen fingers, like you, we have been looking for any sign of Spring. I know there aren't any spring peepers our yet, and there's still a bit too much snow to hunt for ramps or morels. But, the seed and livestock catalogs have been hitting the mailbox and... (cue dramatic music)... IT'S TIME TO ORDER PEEPS FOR OUR SUMMER PASTURED POULTRY CROP!

Ok, sorry for shouting, but around here that's really exciting.

I’ve been working on our summer plan all month, and Friday, I will finally get to unveil it to you!

Here’s the thing…

My whole mission since starting this farm has been to help folks who appreciate real flavor to find simple, healthy food.

Everything I do here at Belmont is with that in mind. I raise what we eat, and I share it with you.

And that’s why I’ve been working hard trying to create our new Chicken Club, a way of supporting real local agriculture, and save you some money.
